Abdha Parveen
Co-founder | Advanced Care Home Pharmacist specialising in Medicines Safety and Risk Management

I’m a clinical pharmacist with over 15 years of experience across the NHS, Adult Social Care, and Primary Care. Since qualifying, I’ve been passionate about improving medicines management in care settings - focusing not only on regulatory compliance but also on enhancing safety, dignity, and outcomes for the people receiving care.
My career journey has taken me from Community Pharmacy into specialised roles, including Lead Care Home Pharmacist within a large Primary Care Network. In this role, I led a growing team and worked collaboratively with GPs, Nurses, and Care Home Managers to improve systems, reduce risk, and streamline medication processes.
I’ve also served as Medicines Risk Manager for Adult Social Care, where I assessed medication-related risks across the system, identified trends through data analysis, and developed targeted resources to drive better practice.
Currently, as the Advanced Care Home Pharmacist for the ICB in Leeds, I work closely with the local council conducting Quality Assurance visits, reviewing medication incidents, and developing action plans that support sustained improvement in medication practices.
Through MedsXperts, I now support care providers aiming to raise standards and reduce medication-related risks. Whether it’s clinical governance, policy development, CQC compliance, or hands-on training, I bring a solution-focused mindset and deep, practical knowledge of what safe, effective medicines management looks like on the ground.
My goal is simple: to help care teams build safer, smarter, and more sustainable medication systems - because small changes can make a big difference.
Hannah Hey
Co-founder | Senior Care Home Pharmacy Technician

I trained as a pharmacy technician at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, where I spent 10 years supporting clinical teams to ensure medications were stored, handled, and administered safely. My role included accuracy checking, investigating errors through root cause analysis, and training new team members - all underpinned by a strong focus on improving practice and reducing risk.
Now working for the Leeds ICB, I support care homes and homecare providers across the city to improve medicines safety through training, audits, and practical, hands-on guidance. I’m GPhC registered and committed to continuous development.
What motivates me most is helping providers turn things around when a service that was struggling gains confidence, clarity, and safer practice, it’s the best part of what I do. This is more than a job to me - it’s personal. I have seen first hand the impact poor medication management can have on individuals and family members, and I’m determined to help other families avoid the same.
